Side Walker Training - May
Interested in volunteering with Horses Help? Our Sidewalker Training is a great first step to getting involved in our equine-assisted services program.
Sidewalkers play an important role in supporting our participants during sessions by walking alongside the horse and helping ensure safety, encouragement, and connection. No horse experience is required — we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
During this training, you’ll learn:
• The role of a sidewalker during sessions
• Basic horse safety and barn etiquette
• How to support participants during mounted activities
• Communication and teamwork with instructors and horse leaders
Volunteering with Horses Help is a meaningful way to make a difference while spending time with our incredible horses and community.
Spots are limited, so please RSVP to reserve your place by sending us a DM or email at volunteer@horseshelpswi.org
We can’t wait to welcome you to the barn!
PLEASE NOTE: Our sessions occur on Mondays and Wednesdays between 2-5pm. Please consider your availability before signing up to train to side walk for these sessions.
